The media is largely taking part in shaping opinions in order to generate consent for more war, more murder. More reasons to agree with "interventions" that are in fact just thinly veiled plots for weapons companies to increase their bottom lines at the cost of innocent lives.
Yet we are told to hate our neighbor instead, so we can't see common ground and organize.
We're told to hate some brown people somewhere far away so our governments can continue murdering them for profit.
Yet, the media isn't necessarily lying. There is no need to lie. Just a need to stretch, twist, turn and frame the truth in a way that gets us to continue to support the status quo.
No longer. Be vigilant. Pay attention. Look to why all media outlets are reporting on Thing XY. Hear voices of people involved instead of the voices of someone paid to make you think a certain way.
There is no objective truth. Everyone has an agenda or at least a biased viewpoint.
